White and his 35th Virginia Cavalry Battalion, North Carolina Cavalry Units, and the battles fought in the New Bern, NC, vicinity. This log kept my Midshipman R. H. Hammond chronicles the HMS Mars on its journeys in the Mediterranean from March 1861 through December 1862. The Mars was launched in 1848 and is the sixth ship in the British Royal Navy using this name. Besides documenting travels to Tripoli in Libya, Larnaca in Cyprus, Latakia in Syria, and Sidon and Beyrout (Beirut) in Lebanon, the log also contains manuscript charts and ink sketches of ports.

Membership Records (1898-1912) from The Improved Order of Red Men (I.O.R.M), the "Occoneechee Tribe" No. 16; a historically white fraternity. In 1834 the Improved Order of the Red Men was established exclusively for white men. The Membership Record of "Occoneeche Tribe" No. 16 Improved Order of the Red Men (1898-1912) is not associated to the Occaneechi Nation or any other Indigenous Nation. Local chapter No. 16 was headquarterd in Raleigh, North Carolina and would hold meetings there, as well as in New Bern, North Carolina. The "all-white clause" was not removed until the 1970's allowing women and people of color to join. The record book includes names, dates, ranking, session locations, and deaths of members.

This collection contains the papers of English Professor Dr. Ralph Hardee Rives which includes correspondence, manuscripts, photos, theatre programs, and newspaper clippings.

Papers (1939-1995, 2007) including McDaniel family and Harvey family genealogical research; and U.S. Air Force Flying Status Files and related files (1942-1980), recording Linton's military career. These files document his career including the U. S. Military Academy Class of 1942, his pilot training and World War II service in the 5th Air Force in the Pacific, and his postwar service in Germany with the 12th Air Force, and the 601st Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron and 526th Tactical Control Group. Also documented are his service in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, his continuing education courses, and his retirement.

Records (ca. 1976-2004) of the East Carolina Council (North Carolina) of Boy Scouts of America include minutes of the Executive Board, photographs, issues of the Tarheel Scouter newspaper, and files pertaining to awards given to scouts.
