This collection contains the records of the Office of Innovation and Engagement, which pertain to copyright, patents, and intellectual property created by faculty, staff, and students of the university.

Papers (1894-1914) consisting of letters press book of correspondence and another of financial papers.

Memoir(1861-1865) including correspondence, Civil War Memoir, typescript copy.

Papers (1939-1943) include correspondence from a U.S. naval officer describing life on the minesweeper USS YMS-62 (1942-1943) during World War II while stationed in New Orleans and Burwood in Louisiana, at sea, and in Algeria. Lieutenant Commander Brown also records his impressions of Algeria in these letters.

Papers (1777-2022) relating to John Baxton Flowers III academic career, family history and Scottish genealogy (Flowers, Kennedy, and Thompson families of Wayne County, NC), historic preservation, horticulture and garden history. Included are correspondence, financial and legal papers, academic records, newspaper clippings, photographs, typescripts, genealogical material, publications, certificates, house plans, watercolor drawings, and newsletters.

Papers (1743 – 1985) of the descendants of Martin Whitford and Nancy Purifoi (Purifoy) Whitford, of Craven County NC, including David Purifoi Whitford, Susan Cox, Addison Purifoi Whitford, Pamela Toler and Edna Whitford Fisher, and consisting of land, legal and business records, genealogical charts and a family history, a photographic print, and the constitutions of the Mt. Lebanon Church and the Broad St. Church & Secondary School 100 Per Cent Loyalty and Service Club.

This collection contains five photographs. These photographs show the J. R. and J. G. Moye Store on Evans St. in Greenville in the 1910s, the Amoco Dealers conventions in Washington, D.C.,and the most recent photograph comes from the late 1980s or early 1990s of the Pitt County, N.C., Sheriff's Department and includes coroner E. W. Harvey, Jr.

Material (1844-1891) including correspondence, account books, speeches, pamphlets, receipts, legal papers, and publications concerning William Robinson (an Irish immigrant) who was a newspaper publisher, town commissioner and mayor of Goldsboro, Wayne County, North Carolina, and his son Dr. Marius Emmet Robinson who practiced in Goldsboro, operated a drugstore with his brother, and was the first chief of staff of Goldsboro's first hospital.

In this oral history interview Laura Marie Leary Elliott discusses her experience being the first full-time African-American student to attend East Carolina University.

Papers (1941-1965) including photographs, clippings, certificates, memos, orders of U.S. Naval officer, USNA Class of 1941, official winners, luncheons, ceremonies, parties, interpreter and translator.

Papers of Merrill Moore (1929–1987, undated) documenting the life and literary career of the noted Columbia, Tennessee-born American poet, physician and psychiatrist, who became a leader and spokesman for the Fugitive Group of Southern poets that included Robert Penn Warren and Allen Tate, among others; including correspondence, manuscript materials, printed materials and loose manuscript materials from the Stuart Wright Book Collection.

Papers (1872-1874, 1879, 1885) including correspondence, clippings, letters, crates de visite of Dall, and miscellaneous.

The Herman H. Duncan Collection consists of seven photographic prints (1921–1922, undated) depicting Greenville High School athletic teams and unidentified baseball teams in eastern North Carolina. Included are group portraits of the football, basketball, track and field, and baseball teams from Greenville High School, as well as images of unidentified teams, one possibly from New Bern, North Carolina. The photographs document early 20th-century high school athletics and local sports culture in Pitt County and surrounding areas.

This collection (ca. 188196-1986) includes items collected by the donor's father Fred S. Hudson, Jr., related to early American illustrators, especially for children's literature. Included are prints, magazine covers, whole magazines, illustrations for magazine stories, an original pen and ink drawing, advertisements, books, posters, figurines, frontispieces and china plates.

Papers (1830-1931) including correspondence, speeches, property records, deeds, appointments, clippings, financial records, etc. of a Quaker farmer and business leader in Belvedere (NC).
