Records 1956-1968) of Greenville, NC garden club, including 3 volumes of scrapbook materials (loose-leaf), 1956-68; 1 volume of yearbook materials (loose-leaf), including constitution, officers, calendar of events, membership, committee, projects, 1962-68; 1 volume of text (mss typescript) and color photographs entitled "Ward 3) Description of Beautification Project," [1960-65]; and 1 volume of records (loose-leaf), including membership, minutes of meetings (1956-68), executive board membership and executive board minutes of meetings (1956-66).

Memoir "Precious Memories. . .in My Life" by Wilson Crabtree (2006) about life experienced by the Crabtree and Oakley families in Rougemont, North Carolina, in Durham, Person, and Orange counties during the first half of the 20th Century. Family history and scanned photographs for the two families are given as well as documenting life in small diversified farms with tobacco as the cash crop. Accompanying the memoir is Mr. Crabtree's obituary.

This collection consists of reel-to-reel audiotape footage of U.S. forces at Phan Rang Air Force Base or Da Nang Air Base, South Vietnam, being overrun by Viet Cong attackers. The tape was recorded by Leonard D. Sawyer, Sr., while he was an Avionic Inertial & Radar Nav. Sys. Tech. on a USAF plane during the Vietnam War. Also included is a two-page summary of Mr. Sawyer's service record with the USAF (April 16, 1968 – July 31, 1972).

Includes a complete set of the monthly periodical, The Medical World, for the year 1908.

Items included vary from photographs, broadsides, pamphlets, advertising materials, programs, negatives, and postcards to land grants, genealogy notes, and a music transcription book. Inclusive dates are 1792-2016.

Papers of Rosanna Warren (1964-1989, [Bulk: 1981-1984], undated) documenting the life and literary career the Fairfield, Connecticut-born American poet and educator at Boston University, who was the daughter of writers and poets Robert Penn Warren (#1169-014) and Eleanor Clark (#1169-070); consisting of an uncorrected proof of Each Leaf Shines Separate: Poems (1984); also loose manuscript items transferred from her works in the Stuart Wright Book Collection, including from Each Leaf Shines Separate: Poems (1984), Joey Story: A Ten Year Old Girl's Story of Her Dog (1964), Snow Day (1981) and from New England Review, Vol. 4, no. 2 (1982).

This collection contains twenty-four pages of genealogical notes related to Beaufort County, N.C., families including Bonner, Snoad, Smallwood, and Latham written by Lucretia Hughes of Washington, N.C.; and a scrapbook of "About Town" columns (1946-1947) written by Penelope Bogart (Rodman) as a teenager for the Washington Daily News published in Washington, N.C. Also included are two typescripts of interviews done in 1938 with a mill worker at Glen Raven Cotton Mill in Burlington, N.C., and with a woman who ran a lodging house in Raleigh, N.C.; and an undated typescript titled "Description of Mill Village" about life on Factory Hill where many of the Asheville Cotton Mill workers lived. The interview with the woman in Raleigh also includes her experiences during the Civil War in Wake County, N.C. In addition, there is an errata of corrections to Van Camp's Images of America: Washington, North Carolina and a Bible containing family history information.

Letters written by Victor C. Faure to his parents dated from May 18, 1918 to 27 March, 1919. Describe movement from California to Fort Mills on Long Island, to France, and delays in returning home after the war.

Papers (1975-1978) [bulk 1977-1978] relating to McNeill Smith's campaign for the U. S. Senate in the 1978 North Carolina Democratic Primary Election, including brochures, campaign statements, press releases and newspaper articles.

Collection (1932-2004) consists of clippings, a bibliography, published materials, and audio/videocassettes of televised documentories relating to the career of noted American woman air pilot Amelia Earhart.

This collection includes the papers of retired History Professor from Darton College (now part of Albany State University in Georgia) and author Dr. Royce G. Shingleton. These papers document his literary career in the fields of Naval History and mid-nineteenth century American South. His books include High Seas Confederate (about John Newland Maffitt), John Taylor Wood: Sea Ghost of the Confederacy, and Richard Peters: Champion of the New South; he also contributed to William N. Still's book The Confederate Navy. A native of Stantonsburg, North Carolina, Shingleton has done genealogical work relative to the Shingleton family that is also found in this collection.
