This collection (ca. 188196-1986) includes items collected by the donor's father Fred S. Hudson, Jr., related to early American illustrators, especially for children's literature. Included are prints, magazine covers, whole magazines, illustrations for magazine stories, an original pen and ink drawing, advertisements, books, posters, figurines, frontispieces and china plates.

Bryant L. Tritt was born on December 7, 1903 in Gaston County North Carolina. He kept a collection of family bibles. The collection spans 1778-1970 and includes photocopies of genealogical records from Tritt and his wife's family Bibles listing births, deaths, and marriages, etc. The Strength of the collection is the Tritt-Whitley family of Gaston County, Davie County, and Davidson County, North Carolina genealogical records.

Records of Lillabulero Press, Limited (1932-1983 [Bulk: 1966-1974], undated) documenting the history of Lillabulero Press, Limited, a small literary press, in Chapel Hill, NC and later in Northwood Narrows, NH, founded, edited and published by Russell Banks (1940-) and William Matthews (1942-1997); consisting of typescripts and correspondence, and proofs of submitted manuscripts and research materials, relating to Lillabulero Press, Limited, and its various publications, including Lillabulero Magazine, Issues Nos. 1 – 14 (1966-1984); Lillabulero Poetry Pamphlet Series, Nos. 6-17 (1969-1973); Lillabulero Prose Pamphlet Series No. 1 (1973); Lillabulero Portfolio / 1967; and oversized archival folders containing proofs of published materials (1967-1973).

Diary compiled (8/19/1943 - 9/15/1945) while serving as a US Navy Electrician's Mate 2/c aboard the USS Essex (CV 9) during World War II, including diagrams of electrical equipment, descriptions of daily life at sea; defending against air and torpedo attacks; attacking the Japanese-held islands of Marcus, Wake, Rabaul, Tarawa, Marshalls (Roi, Kwajalein) Truk, Saipan, Bonin, Guam, Philippines (Mindanao, Luzon, Cebu), Okinawa, Formosa, Indo-China, Tokyo, Iwo Jima, and the Japanese main islands; the naval battles of the Marianas Islands, the Philippines Sea, the Philippines typhoon of 1944, and attacks by kamikazes.

This collection consists of a single photo album that documents, housing, local life and customs, cremation ceremonies, animals, and Seventh Day Adventist Missions in various Southern Pacific Locations.

This collection documents the history of Winterville, North Carolina, and its citizens through material including programs for the 1986 and 1987 Winterville Watermelon Festivals, a booklet (2011) documenting the first fifty years of the Winterville Kiwanis Club, and newsletters from the Winterville Chamber of Commerce (2017) and the Winterville Historical and Arts Society, Inc. The Tyson-May Reunion Papers (1965–2023; undated) document the activities and genealogical research of the Tyson-May Reunion, a family organization founded in Farmville, North Carolina, around 1920. Formed to record and preserve the lineage of early settler Cornelius Tyson and Revolutionary War commander Major Benjamin May and his wife, Mary Clara Tyson, the Reunion has held annual gatherings and maintained detailed records of its membership and operations. Materials include meeting minutes, by-laws, genealogical reports, correspondence, reunion programs, newspaper clippings, and related documentation reflecting the group's administrative functions and ongoing interest in family history.
