This collection contains the administrative records for the East Carolina Department of History. Papers (Nov. 1952) of Defense Department, Research and Development Board member, Dr. Paul R. Beall taking part in exercise aboard USS Coral Sea (CVB 43), including ship's booklets, rosters, schematic drawing, schedule, and photographs.

This collection contains the records (1872-2014, undated) for the Cumberland Lodge No. 5, Knights of Pythias, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Types of material included are correspondence, financial records, rosters, visitors' registers, by-laws, deeds, records of proceedings and printed material. Membership information often gives a member's age, dates when each class or rank was attained, date of death and what dues were collected. In some cases indication is also given as to when membership was withdrawn, suspended or reinstated.

Included are the records (1961-2025) of the Dilettante Book Club of Greenville, North Carolina. Members of the ECC (East Carolina College) Faculty Wives Club met in September 1961 to start the book club and established the name Dilettante Book Club at their October 1961 meeting. The club disbanded in September 22nd 2025.

This collection contains Emma Hooper's research notes and source materials for and manuscript drafts of an unfinished book about the history of East Carolina University entitled "East Carolina's Spade" that she started writing for the occassion of the school's fiftieth anniversary. Additionally, the collection contains materials from her teaching career and personal correspondence, memorabilia, and photographs.
