Miscellaneous papers found at the Country Doctor Museum
Collection (ca. 1930–1954) manuscript and printed materials relating to the early history of Pitt County, North Carolina, and the Greenville High School Class of 1946, including revised manuscript drafts of a history of Pitt County, including correspondence, clippings, brochures, pamphlets, maps and rationing labels.
Collection (1816-1899) including correspondence, legal papers, military papers, etc. relating to William D. Holt and his cotton sales business, local policies, railroad construction, the Farmers Alliance, private debts, his service during the Civil War, and business records.
Papers (1756-1887) of various family members, including ensalver Edward R. Stanley who was a Craven County commissioner and president of the Atlantic and North Carolina Railroad, including correspondence, deeds, records of sale for enslaved persons, a will, a marriage certificate, and a map.
Papers (1767-1912) including correspondence, court order, indenture, will and legal papers, financial papers, etc. of Craven County planter and businessmen, Revolutionary War militia leader and his descendants.
Papers (1943-1945) including correspondence with references made to signaling, semaphore operations, mail delivery problems, etc.
Collection (1863-1865) including correspondence, company returns, clothing reports, equipment reports, orders, invoices, ordance reports, etc.
This collection consists of items taken from a Japanese sailor during World War II when he was taken prisoner after being shipwrecked in the East China Sea off Okinawa.
Items from Jean Penn Walker Doss' education, professional, and personal life that were donated by her niece Susan Boyd.

This ledger (1873-1874) chronicles the stock sold at a Goldsboro, North Carolina, store including, among other items, turpentine, staves, hoops, chicks, postage, timber, and bbls (barrels), and also mentions labor, hauling, and "stilling."
Collection (1916-1918) includes 14 silver gelatin photographs and 4 printed postcards that belonged to Emil Görling, a German soldier in the 3rd Landwehr Division during World War I. The majority of the images document the 1918 German Spring Offensive in Northern France, specifically the Noyon campaign (April-August 1918). Included are images of the devastation in the area, the battlefields between the towns of Noyon and Lassigny in France, and the unit at work, at leisure and in retreat in the Lorraine area. Many of the photographs and postcards have comments written with pencil or ink in German.
Papers (1864-1866) of soldier from Beaufort County who was killed in action near Petersburg, Va., during the Civil War while serving in the 33 Regiment of N.C. Troops, including correspondence, especially one notifying his mother of his death.
