This collection contains the administrative records for the East Carolina College of Education. Record types include annual reports, other reports, committee minutes, self studies, publications and brochures, and audiovisual materials.

Papers (1730-1928) of surveyor and Baptist pastor, including correspondence, court records, land records, financial papers, promissory notes, bills, land grants, indentures, Civil War orders, etc.

This collection contains the administrative records for the East Carolina Department of History. Record types include annual reports, minutes, course proposals, reports, curriculum proposals, correspondence, lecture series, oral histories, publications, student work, and Phi Alpha Theta documentation.

The Vertical File Collection contains individual items that don't fit into existing collections. There is no overall theme or subject connecting them. Items included vary from photographs, broadsides, pamphlets, advertising materials, programs, negatives, and postcards to land grants, genealogy notes, and a music transcription book. Inclusive dates are 1792-2016.

This collection consists of original photographs, photographic prints (copies), negatives and proof sheets (ca. 1890-1900, 1950s -1970s) documenting history in and around the area of Murfreesboro, North Carolina. These consist primarily of images of businesses, buildings, boats and ferries, mills, cemeteries and gravestones, architectural features of interest, churches, schools, people and historical houses.

Collection (1760-1940) including land grants, deeds, bill of sale of enslaved persons, correspondence, Civil War documents, and an account book, pertaining to the land holdings and genealogy of the McIver, McLeod, Lane, Crawford, Mumford, and Faison families of Moore, Chatham and Columbus counties, North Carolina.

Picture postcards of hospitals in the United States. This collection has postcards from 44 states plus Washington, D.C. Many are in color.

A journal (1/19 – 6/29/1859) written by Augustus M. Handley, a young British Army officer in the 19th Regiment of Foot, of a voyage from Gravesend, England, to Calcutta, India, aboard the sailing ship H.M.S. Bucton Castle with Captain Moorsom commanding. The journal contains a detailed description of daily life aboard the Bucton Castle, including various personalities on board, daily activities, an explanation of the ship's time-keeping, a drawing of the ship with parts labeled, notes on the how-to of navigation, changing weather conditions, sea conditions, and meetings with the various ships along the way.

This collection (1980-1995) documents the Greenville Area Preservation Association (North Carolina) from its beginnings and includes articles of incorporation and bylaws, minutes, correspondence, subject files, membership records, financial records, Heritage Tour files (1981-1982), photographs, a scrapbook, and records concerning the publication of the The Architectural Heritage of Greenville, North Carolina.

Material includes annual reports, data sheets, programs, sound recordings, publications, and correspondence related to the operation of the School of Music.

Papers of Allen Tate (1927-1996, undated) documenting the life and literary career of the noted American poet, biographer, editor, essayist, novelist and educator, including manuscripts, proofs of published materials, printed materials & ephemera, loose manuscripts transferred from the Stuart Wright Book Collection, oversized materials, by or about Allen Tate, Ellen Glasgow, John Crowe Ransom, Peter Hillsman Taylor, Robert Penn Warren, Eudora Welty, and others; in English and Latin language.

Papers (1833-1898) including correspondence, land records, letters, mortgage deeds, financial records, receipts.

Papers (1849-1901) consisting of copies, originals, correspondence, financial records, farm journals, educational accounts, poetry, lists of text books and curricula.

Records (1966-2006, undated) documenting the activities of the League of Women Voters of Pitt County, North Carolina, a women's political organization, including historical materials, board of trustees files, publications, clippings, research files, membership files, financial records, scrapbooks, oversized materials, correspondence, annual reports, photographic prints and slides, bylaws, and position statements.

Papers (1859-1936) including correspondence, minute book, time book, ledger, photographs, genealogy, letters on symptoms and treatment of disease, and miscellaneous.
