This collection includes records related to the Croom Family especially the annual Croom Family Reunion held at the Croom Meeting House at Sandy Bottom Community on Highway 55 West in Lenoir County, North Carolina. Included are a 1930 photograph of the first Croom Family Reunion, programs, attendance sheets, minutes, obituaries, updated family charts, articles about the Reunion, and tombstone listings.

The Perkins Family Papers document the personal, educational, military, and business activities of members of the Perkins family of Greenville, North Carolina, primarily during the early to mid-twentieth century. The collection includes personal diaries, school materials, essays, correspondence, photographic prints, military certificates and programs, and financial records related to the family's operation of M.A. Perkins and Son Grocery Store. Researchers will find materials that reflect everyday life, commerce, and military service in Greenville and Hawaii. Dates of materials span approximately 1911 to 1950.

Collection (1932-1975) of correspondence, clippings, and yearbooks compiled by Harriett Roseveare and Carolyn James, who served as club officers, relating to club membership and activities in support of World War I and II, including sale of war bonds, United Nations Day, home economics education, Green Springs Park, Parent - Teacher Associations, nursery schools and night schools, social events and scholarships for teenagers, Community Fine Arts Festival, Pitt General Hospital, Pitt County Fair, and other activities.

Collection (1889-1890, 1893-1894) including Civil War black soldiers pension and compensation applications compiled by Frederick C. Douglass, a black lawyer, minister, and teacher in New Bern, NC who served as a government pension agent, 1889-1897.
