Included are maps of the movements of the 71st Armored F.A.B. and Battery "B" of the 387th AA (AW) Battalion for July 28, 1944, through May 9, 1945; map showing the advance of the 5th Armored "Victory Division" from the Rhine River to the Elbe River March 31 through April 23, 1945; and a portion of the 5th Armored Division map (undated) showing movements in France, Luxembourg, and Germany.

Files (1717-1957) of Murfreesboro, N.C. lawyers and Hertford County, N.C. officals, including correspondence, legal files, reports, financial records, etc. of B.B. Winborne, Attorney at Law, Winborne & Lawrence, Winborne and Winborne, Lemuel R. Jernigan and James L. Anderson.

House of Representatives and Greenville Mayor (1969-1971) Frank Marion Wooten, Jr. (1916-1992) consisting of correspondence, pamphlets, proposed bills, reports, petitions, resolutions, bulletins, periodicals, printed bills, and photographs. Crime and punishment-related topics, and tax issues are major topics covered.

This collection includes materials related to George Sutton (b. November 1757 – d. 1827) of Durant's Neck, North Carolina, and his family. Included is a King James Version Family Bible printed in 1752, with written genealogical records of the Sutton family.

Included are a Brake Family History; a survey (1984) and history of the Brake Family Cemetery located near the corner of Cokey Road and Calhoun Road in Rocky Mount, North Carolina; a deed and a marriage license; genealogy information; Brake, Burges and Fly family photographs; documents (1957-1980) related to the West Edgecombe Volunteer Fire Department which included volunteer firefighter Robert Earl Brake; tobacco sale bills (1926-1933, undated) from several warehouses in Rocky Mount; and a 1931-1932 Faculty and Student Directory for N.C. State.

Files (1933-1990) include administrative and operational records for the Lenoir and Wayne Counties, NC Schools; speeches; policy and procedures; reports; recommendations; correspondence; subject files; term papers; Lenoir County board of education minute excerpts; school consolidation and accreditation records; school statistical data; a photograph; a map; charts and forms; clippings and notes; and certificates and other acknowledgments.

The Gerda Nischan Papers contains letters (1930, 1946-1947), handwritten in German between Otto Baumann and his wife, Barbara Hock, all but one written during the time Baumann was a German soldier in a French prisoner of war camp, 1946-1947, and typescripts in English by Baumann's daughter, Gerda Nischa, including an explanation of the letters, and 7 poems inspired by the letters. In 2010 Gerda Nischan wrote a book based on the letters titled Briefe an einen Kriegsgefangenen, an English translation written in 2014 (Letters to a Prisoner of War), and a novel in German (2013) called Dieses neue Leben which are included in these papers.

This collection contains the records (1873-2010) of the fraternal secret society Knights of Pythias Grand Lodge, Domain of North Carolina. Records include biennial and annual reports of local lodges, the Records of Proceedings for the annual sessions of the Grand Lodge, financial records, minute book, constitutions and bylaws, publications and items such as the 1909 Pythian Service Book.
