Photographs and negatives of African American minstrel show performers (most, if not all, are members of Silas Green from New Orleans show) both on and off stage. These negatives and photographs were made from the originals (1932-1942, undated) in 1998 and the whereabouts of the originals are unknown. Charles Morton starred as Little Charlie Morton Jr. with the Silas Green from New Orleans tent travelling show and posters listed him as Silas Green's youngest star.
This collection consists of papers relating to William Alva Greenleaf. Documents within this collection include, papers relating to William's service in the Civil War, correspondence, legal and estate records, financial records and genealogy records.
S.S. ZamZam Collection
#0906Collection (1936, 1941-1942) consisting of a photograph album of the S.S. ZamZam, an Egyptian-owned ship, its crew and passengers, including 120 American missionaries (from 21 different denominations), tobacco buyers and other passengers traveling from New York to Alexandria, Egypt, via Capetown, South Africa, who survived sinking by the German raider Tamesis 17 April 1941, including newspaper and magazine clippings, photographs, periodicals, correspondence, and photocopies of an autobiographical account.
The collection consists of a letter (1/8/1863) containing a description of Brig. Gen. John G. Foster's expedition from New Bern to Kinston and Goldsboro NC and back, 11-20 December 1862, including accounts of engagements at Kinston (14 Dec.), Whitehall (16 Dec.) and Goldsboro Bridge (17 Dec.), from George [?], a soldier in Company B of the 5th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment, to his Aunt Maria. Other items include a draft report (12/22/1862) by Colonel Charles R. Codman, 45th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry Regiment (Cadet Regiment), of engagements at Kinston and White Hall, NC, (12/14 through 12/16/1862), and items related to Colonel Codman.

Early Flight Archives
#1048Wilbur Wright was born on April 16, 1867 near Millville, Indiana and his brother Orville was born in 1871. The boys owned a bicycle shop before using their experience, tools, and equipment to experiment with flight. The collection is circa 1920 and includes a pamphlet titled Essais de Wilbur Wright, Le Mans - 1908: La Conquete de l'Air / Wilbur Wright's Trial: The Conquest of the Air. The strength of this collection is the introduction and postcards detailing Wilbur Wright and his 1908 experimental and demonstration flights in Le Mans, France.
Wood Tucker Johnson Papers
#CD01-30The collection contains a group of copied pages from several sources, with the cover page titled "Wood Tucker Johnson, M.D., Medical Lectures - University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine 1820-1823." Within these pages is a copy of a photograph (presumably of Johnson), a letter, copied pages from books, and complete typed versions of two books. Also in the collection are two handwritten books and Johnson's certificate of membership to the Philadelphia Medical Society and his University of Pennsylvania Medical School diploma.
