Greenville High School (N.C.) Autograph Book

This collection consists of an autograph book possibly kept by Elizabeth Williams while she was attending Greenville High School in Greenville, North Carolina. The entries have dates for 1942 and 1943. Besides having comments and poems written by her girlfriends, there are also entries written by members of the military forces (during World War II) and a listing of local men and what branch of the military they belong to. This autograph book was found in the attic of 2707 E. Third St. in Greenville, N.C.

Included are his Flight Record and Log, a diary (1933-1944) he kept when he was with the 8th Squadron 3rd Attack Group and other documents such as Special Orders (1943) and Individual Flight Record documents.

Included are maps of the movements of the 71st Armored F.A.B. and Battery "B" of the 387th AA (AW) Battalion for July 28, 1944, through May 9, 1945; map showing the advance of the 5th Armored "Victory Division" from the Rhine River to the Elbe River March 31 through April 23, 1945; and a portion of the 5th Armored Division map (undated) showing movements in France, Luxembourg, and Germany.
