Watson, Mss typescript; pertaining to the 300th anniversary celebration of Bath, North Carolina and related subjects.

The clipping file provides subject access to the North Carolina Collection's clipping file of selected newspaper articles taken primarily from the Greenville Daily Reflector and Raleigh News and Observer.

The Vertical File contains brochures, pamphlets, newsletters, and other printed ephemeral material pertaining to North Carolina people, organizations, places, history, and events. Files on a county, for example, typically include brochures / maps pertaining to natural or historic sites, cultural events, and local businesses.

Collection includes an unknown Wilmington, North Carolina, merchant's daybook containing accounts (March 1, 1855-May 9, 1857) related to ships (including, among others, Steamer Henrietta, Steamer Flora McDonald, Schooner Jonas Sparks, Schooner Wm. A. Ellis), firms (such as Carolina Hotel, Wilmington and Manchester Rail Road, Wilmington Gas Company), and individuals (Wm. Sutton, James Green, Samuel Sheppard, etc.).

Walley Chauncey Family Collection (ca. 1827 - 1982) including photocopies of correspondence, photographs, clippings, plats, and genealogical charts, relating to Walley Chauncey and his descendants in Eastern North Carolina.

The collection has papers, photographs, personal items, patient records, and oral history of Milton D. Quigless, along with drafts and related materials to his autobiography, Looking Back: The Way It Was.

In this oral history interview Max Ray Joyner, Sr. discusses his involvment with East Carolina including his time as a student and his later work with The ECU Foundation, Alumni Association, Pirate Club, and Board of Trustees, serving on search committees, and endowing scholarships. He also mentions his wife's involvment with East Carolina.

Papers (1864-1866) of soldier from Beaufort County who was killed in action near Petersburg, Va., during the Civil War while serving in the 33 Regiment of N.C. Troops, including correspondence, especially one notifying his mother of his death.

Lemuel Showell Blades, III, (1933-2011) began his career as a lawyer and then went on to become the president of the Norfolk Telephone Company while serving on a number of committees in Elizabeth City, and New Bern, North Carolina. This collection spans from 1711-2011 and includes newspaper clippings, photographs, genealogical charts, letters, oral histories, books, videos, and career files. The strength of this collection is the genealogical overview of the several generations linking to the Blades family.
