This collection contains clippings, signed petitions, correspondence, filed notes, and blueprints. There are indications that the material may have originated with N.C. State Geologist Joseph Hyde Pratt.

Papers (1978-2014) of Inez Fridley, Greenville City Council Member, Mayor Pro-Term, and advocate for preserving nature in the urban environment. Includes files reflecting her concern for planning and zoning, as a founding member of Tar River Neighborhood Association (TRNA), a member of Tar River/University Neighborhood Association (TRUNA), and as a member of the Rotary Club.

The Stowe (Stough)–Myers Family Collection contains manuscript and photographic materials documenting the personal, social, and economic lives of two interconnected families from Concord, North Carolina, and related communities between approximately 1882 and 1985. The collection includes correspondence, postcards, original poetry, newspaper clippings, a cotton buyer's receipt, a report card, and photographic prints. Notable items include late nineteenth century letters addressed to Ruann Stowe, early twentieth century postcards exchanged among members of the Myers family, and materials reflecting local agricultural commerce and family commemorative practices.

Collection (1930s-1970s) of North Carolina Ferries manuals such as "Specifications, Pamlico Sound Ferry, Virginia Dare," "NC State Ferry Operations;" also a NC State Highway Commission manual; also NC State Ferries and NC Board of Transportation forms; and NC State Highway Commission ferry boat plans and contract plans. Collection (1756-1888) consisting of Craven County grants, deeds, legal statements, will, indentures pertaining to land, Civil War "retirement" to invalid corps record (1864) for a member of 44th Regiment, NC Troops.

This collection primarily contains newspaper articles from The Daily Reflector about East Carolina University's Division of Health Sciences and ECU Health's (previously Vidant Medical Center) interaction with the larger community.

Papers (1945-1950) including correspondence, military pamphlets with description of army forces, commentaries, letter of sympathy.

"A New and Correct Map of the Province of North Carolina by Edward Moseley, late surveyor general of the said province 1733," showing settlements, inhabitants, soil conditions, rivers, and principal products, with insets showing "Port Brunswick or Cape Fear Harbour," "Port Beaufort or Topsail Inlet," "Ocacock (Ocracoke) Inlet," "Explanation," and "Directions for Ocacock (Ocracoke) Inlet". Imperial folio sheets, pasted on linen backing (probably in 18th century) with some insect damage and repairs, and some loss of information. Framed dimensions: 50-1/4" x 62-1/2". Scale: 1" = 5 miles.
