This collection (1980s-2010s) contains material related to the life of Michael J. Hamer, an English professor at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, from 1986 through 2013, and a prolific songwriter, singer, and band leader who died in 2017. Included are notebooks containing his handwritten lyrics, poems, photographs, reel to reel tapes, clippings, and other material pertaining to his musical career.
Thomas Mann was born in 1718 in Hertford County, NC. He owned almost 4,000 acres of land in Edgecombe County at the time of his death in 1792. The collection spans 1745, 1752, and 1910 including a land grant to Thomas Mann from George II, a plat map of a servey of Nann's property, State Fair entry flags, and various fragmented documents. The strength of the collection is Thomas Mann's legacy.

House of Representatives and Greenville Mayor (1969-1971) Frank Marion Wooten, Jr. (1916-1992) consisting of correspondence, pamphlets, proposed bills, reports, petitions, resolutions, bulletins, periodicals, printed bills, and photographs. Crime and punishment-related topics, and tax issues are major topics covered.

Michael J. Zagray was a cook aboard a U.S. Naval vessel during the early 1960s. The collection spans the years 1954-1963. It includes 69 black and white, 8" x 10" photographic prints and 3 mimeographed typescripts on the United Nations Command Military Armistice Commission meetings held at MAC HQ Area, Korea, in 1963 and 1 mimeographed typescript on "Unusual Joint Duty Officers' Meetings" from 1 January 1954 to 1 October 1963.

Included are his Naval records such as correspondence, orders, and inventory forms plus a couple of items related to visits to Korea and China, and Historical Notes for Personnel of the Naval Operating Base at Saipan on Navy Day (October 27, 1946), and reproductions of the December 7, 1941, issue or Honolulu Star-Bulletin 2nd Extra and the December 8, 1941 issue of the Honolulu Advertiser.
