Boyette actually starts his memoir with some information on the extremely hard upbringing his mother (born 1903) had and also includes a section of notes that his mother wrote about the childhood experiences of her 3 boys.

The collection spans 1955-1962 and documents Norman's overseas service, immunizations records, and an Army Graphic Training Aid. The strength of this collection is Post World War II American military troops.
