The collection has papers, photographs, personal items, patient records, and oral history of Milton D. Quigless, along with drafts and related materials to his autobiography, Looking Back: The Way It Was.

In this oral history, Rebecca Croom Fordham (1899-1983) describes attending East Carolina Teachers Training School (East Carolina University) in Greenville, North Carolina, especially during the 1918 flu epidemic; teaching in Lenoir County, N.C.; and her life in the 1920s during the land boom and subsequent bust in Florida.

This collection contains the administrative records for the East Carolina Department of History. Record types include annual reports, minutes, course proposals, reports, curriculum proposals, correspondence, lecture series, oral histories, publications, student work, and Phi Alpha Theta documentation.

Lang, Jr. He served as president of the National Student Federation of America (1933-1935), Assistant Director of Education Programs, Civilian Conservation Corps (1935-1938), director of the N.C. National Youth Administration (1938-1942), and administrative assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force (1964-1971) among other positions.

Interview (1915-2003) with Washington (NC) native including discussion of her family, early life, education, relationship with Cecile B. DeMille, employment as secretary in the National Youth Administration and for Rep. Lindsay Carter Warren (D-NC), 1935-1940, marriage, hurricanes, and her observations of social changes, etc. Contract date: 11/13/2003. Rec'd. 11/13/2003.
