The collection contains the records of the East Carolina Faculty Wives Club, later known as the East Carolina University Women's Club and the East Carolina University Club.
The East Carolina Faculty Wives Club (later known as the East Carolina University Women's Club as well as the East Carolina University Club) was a social organization whose membership consisted of the East Carolina faculty and staff as well as their spouses. The organization stated that its goal was to provide a fun social atmosphere in which new members of the East Carolina community could meet their fellow campus community members. The East Carolina Faculty Wives Club also hosted fundraising events in which the proceeds went towards a variety of student scholarhips.
This collection contains scrapbooks, event programs, and the adminstrative records from the East Carolina Faculty Wives club. The materials highlight projects undertaken by the organization as well as gatherings sponsored by them.
