This collection contains drawings and written responses created by children at W.A. Patillo Elementary School in Tarboro, North Carolina following the catastrophic flooding caused by Hurricane Floyd.


Biographical/historical information

Dr. Carmen Russoniello served as an associate professor of recreational therapy, the director of the Psychophysiology Lab and Biofeedback Clinic, and the director of the Center for Applied Psychophysiology at ECU's College of Health and Human Performance before retiring in 2020. Tami M. Fragedakis worked as a Research Assistant at ECU's Psychophsysiology and Biofeedback Lab while completing her master's degree at East Carolina University.


Scope and arrangement

This collection contains drawings and written responses created by children at W.A. Patillo Elementary School in Tarboro, North Carolina following the catastrophic flooding caused by Hurricane Floyd. They were created as part of a research study on recreational therapy conducted by Dr. Carmen Russoniello and graduate student Tami Fragedakis.
