The Records of the Army ROTC Program at East Carolina University contains adminstrative information, correspondence, and publications related to the Pirate Battalion housed in Christenbury Memorial Gymnasium.
The East Carolina Army ROTC program began in 1983 through a partnership with North Carolina State University. East Carolina's program became independant in 1997 and was henceforth known as the "Pirate Battalion." Cadets are prepared by a cadre of active duty officers for a variety of career fields.
