Billups P. Percy, USNA Class of 1943, Oral History Interview. Percy comments on his early life including the death of his parents and adoption by a cousin William Alexander Percy in Greenville, Mississippi. Percy discusses "Uncle Will" and his two brothers Walker and LeRoy. Percy attended McCallie School in Chattanooga, TN and then the United States Naval Academy. After graduating, Percy served on PT boats in the Solomon Islands during WWII. Percy discusses his service alongside John F. Kennedy, witnessing the collision of PT-109, serving on the submarine USS Sea Robin, and his resignation in 1947. After leaving the Navy he attended Law School at the University of Virginia, worked briefly at the CIA, and taught at the Tulane University Law School.
