Dr. Stenhouse discusses his background in Colorado, his early years as a naval surgeon in the Philippines and China, and duty stateside and in the Virgin Islands. Included are commentaries on life in China during the W.W. I period, personal experiences, Josephus Daniels and the Daniels family, life style at St. Croix, epidemics and other medical problems aboard ship.
