Anthony Finley (c.1790-1840) was a map maker and publisher based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who was well-known for his works "A New American Atlas" and "A New General Atlas, Comprising a Complete Set of Maps, representing the Grand Divisions of the Globe, Together with the several Empires, Kingdoms and States in the World; Compiled from the Best Authorities, and corrected by the Most Recent Discoveries."

It was published as part of his "A New General Atlas, Comprising a Complete Set of Maps, representing the Grand Divisions of the Globe, Together with the several Empires, Kingdoms and States in the World; Compiled from the Best Authorities, and corrected by the Most Recent Discoveries," Philadelphia, 1824, and engraved by Young and Delleker. The map is hand-colored and measures 11" x 9". Purchased with state funds from Barry Lawrence Ruderman Antique Maps, Inc.
