Biographical/historical information

Thelma Brown Ward was born 1930 May 6 in Williamston, North Carolina. She graduated from the Norfolk General Hospital School of Nursing in Norfolk, Virginia in 1951. She served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1956 in the Army Nurse Corps as 1st Lieutenant. Ward married Mac Edwin Manning in 1955 and they had Susan, Mac Jr., and Jim. She was still living as of April 2012, when her husband died.
