Biographical/historical information
Julian Vainright, Sr. was born in 1932 in Farmville, North Carolina. He entered East Carolina College as a student in 1950 and graduated in 1954 with a BA and again in 1962 with his MBA. He began working as the school's Director of Purchasing in 1959, moving to Business Manager in 1970, and finally Vice Chancellor for Business until his retirement in 1986.
