Biographical/historical information
Dr. John Ball was born December 18, 1929. He served a professor of Social Welfare at East Carolina University from 1968 to 1993. He attended Mars Hill University, Southeastern Seminary private college, and UNC-Chapel Hill. His work experience prior to joining ECU consists of being a pastor, social worker, Director of the NC Re-Education Center, and the Director of the Division of Psychiatric Social Work in the NC Department of Health. He was involved in the National Association of Social Workers, the NC Conference for Social Service, Kappa Delta Pi, Council on Social Work Education, and the Council of Certified Social Workers.
