This collection contains Grover Truslow's materials from his time as an alumnus and football player at East Carolina.
Grover Truslow was born on January 6, 1950 and raised in Lumberton, North Carolina. He was a member of the East Carolina football team from 1969-1971 and played for four different coaches during that time: Bill Cain, Clarence Stasavich, Mike McGee, and Sonny Randle. He graduated from ECU in 1973 with a B.S. in Industrial Technology. After senior year he signed as a free agent with the Dallas Cowboys but ultimately failed to make the team. Mr. Truslow worked in sales and management for three different building material manufacturers prior to retiring in 2015. In the years since graduating from East Carolina, Mr. Truslow has visited Marshall University twice with his 1970 football teammates to pay tribute to the 75 Marshall team members who died in a plane crash while returning home after playing ECU in Greenville on November 14, 1970.
