Biographical/historical information

Edgar Herbert Mathews was born in Greenville, North Carolina and graduated from East Carolina College in 1956 with a BS. While at ECC, Mathews was a member of the Young Democratic Club and Chairman of the Student Government Association's Men's Judiciary Committee in 1955.

May 14, 1958 copy of the Daily Reflector, ECC 50th anniversary edition was removed due to the item being damaged and there is a bound copy located in the NC Rare Oversize.
