This collection contains administrative files, correspondence, reports, radio and television schedules and scripts, publications, event programs, photographs, and video recordings.

Biographical/historical information

The first campus radio station was WWWS (91.3 FM), founded in the 1950s and was located in Joyner Library. In 1982 WZMB was established, which is run by East Carolina University Student Media Board.

WECU-TV was founded in 1954 and housed near the School of Education. A new studio was completed near the medical campus in early 1972. The station closed permanently at the beginning of 2010 due to budgetary issues.
