Scope and arrangement
Rear Admiral Bartlett, USNA Class of 1941, discusses his background and experiences at the Naval Academy, his discharge due to an eye deficiency, employment as a prep school and naval officers training instructor, and his World War II acceptance into Naval engineering school. Postwar service described concentrates on various engineering commands and duty in Vietnam.
