Biographical/historical information
Each year, the East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine Chapter of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA) hosts the annual Andrew A. Best, Senior Recognition Banquet. The SNMA is the oldest and largest medical student organization committed to serving underserved communities. The ECU Brody Chapter of SNMA is an organization focused on increasing the number of culturally responsible minority physicians that excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively affect the community.
To further the legacy of Dr. Best, the organization celebrates the graduating SNMA members of the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University at this annual banquet.
