Biographical/historical information

The Pitt County Medical Society has a history going back to 1867 and was given a charter by the North Carolina Medical Society in 1903. In 1974 the Pitt County Medical and Dental Society changed its name to the Pitt County Medical Society. The Society seeks to help "the physicians of Pitt County promote and maintain the integrity of medicine."
