Biographical/historical information
Howard Franklin Freeman was born 1849 February 24 in Wake County, North Carolina. He graduated from the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Baltimore, Maryland, with his Doctor of Medicine in 1878. He married Sallie Williamson and had Addie (Morris), Fannie (Fulghum), Frank, Sallie (Cone), Janie, and Malthus. He died 1915 April 5.
Scope and arrangement
The Freeman Family Papers includes photos from 1878 and undated. The collection's genealogical material ranges between 1915 and 1969, with the bulk of information from 1959 to 1969. The family correspondence covers only between 1967 and 1968. Also included are copies of pages from an 1885 North Carolina Baptist Almanac.
