Biographical/historical information
Jean Penn Walker Doss was born 1926 January 7 and died 2020 October 12. She graduated nursing school and passed the nursing exam in 1946. Over her career she was a nurse at Dr. Curtis Akers' Hospital and R.J Reynolds Patrick Memorial Hospital. In 1966 she was registered as a red cross nurse. Her items were donated by her niece Susan Boyd following Doss' death.
Scope and arrangement
This collection includes letters, a pin, cards, booklets, photos, certifications, receipts, paystubs and newspapers announcing her wedding.
