Biographical/historical information
James Michael Kelsh was born on 1928 November 3. He served in the U.S. Army as a Colonel during the Korean War and the Vietnam War. For his service as a surgeon in the military, Kelsh received the Legion of Merit. He received his license to practice medicine in North Carolina on 1969 May 19. Dr. Kelsh worked as a surgeon at Heritage Hospital in Tarboro and retired from that hospital at the end of his career. James M. Kelsh died on 2001 January 17.
Scope and arrangement
This collection includes a print copy of "A Physician's Prayer," Dr. Kelsh's certificate for the Order of the Scalpel Wielders, and Dr. Kelsh's certificate for his license to practice medicine in North Carolina.
