This collection contains five photographs. These photographs show the J. R. and J. G. Moye Store on Evans St. in Greenville in the 1910s, the Amoco Dealers conventions in Washington, D.C.,and the most recent photograph comes from the late 1980s or early 1990s of the Pitt County, N.C., Sheriff's Department and includes coroner E. W. Harvey, Jr.


Biographical/historical information

Edward Withers Harvey married Lillie Marion on Wednesday, September 28, 1910. Together they had a son named Edward Withers Harvey, Jr.


Scope and arrangement

The oldest photograph shows the J. R. and J. G. Moye Store on Evans St. in Greenville in the 1910s. Three of the photographs document Amoco Dealers conventions in Washington, D.C., in 1938 (a panoramic shot), Rocky Mount, N.C., in 1939, and Myrtle Beach in 1940. Edward W. Harvey, Sr., owned the Amoco distributorship in Greenville, N.C., and his son E. W. Harvey, Jr., joined him in the business in the 1930s. A more recent photograph from the late 1980s or early 1990s is of the Pitt County, N.C., Sheriff's Department and includes coroner E. W. Harvey, Jr. The donor is the daughter of E. W. Harvey, Jr.
