This collection consists of items taken from a Japanese sailor during World War II when he was taken prisoner after being shipwrecked in the East China Sea off Okinawa. Included is a wallet and its contents and a name seal carved in wood. The wallet contents included 5 and 50 Sen banknotes from Japan, a one penny banknote from Fiji, and a 10 Dong banknote from Vietnam. There is also document, torn into two pieces, which might be a Japanese ration book.
