Also included are fifty-seven 4 7/8" x 6 5/8" and sixty-six 3 1/8" x 4 5/8" black and white Nazi propaganda cigarette cards (circa 1933).
Biographical/historical information
Adolf Hitler - Pictures of the Life of the Führer was published in 1936 by Cigaretten-Bilderdienst, a tobacco company in Altona-Bahrenfeld, Germany. The book had blank spaces for users to glue appropriate cigarette cards from collectable cigarette packs. As cards and albums became a new and popular form of the media in the early 1930s, the Nazi party developed this book to target youth and promote cigarettes, tobacco and the early Nazi regime.
