This collection includes various photographs, letters, and genealogical information related to several families from North Carolina and Virginia. Most of the collection consists of family photographs from the late 1800s and early 1900s, including pictures of unknown members of the included families and some buildings.
Outland Family: The Outland family originally came from Holland. The name in the Va. Records is given as: Oudelaut, Oudlaut, Outeland, Outlaud.
Rogerson Family: The Rogerson's family can be trace back to John Rogerson, a vicar of Noningham Norfolk, England in 1592.
Copeland Family: The Copeland's came from England in 1657. There were three brothers, John, William, and Thomas.

This collection consists of photocopies of 3 letters (1929, 1933, 1947) from and to members of the Leake family; genealogical information (1935, undated) on the Outland family of Virginia and the Copeland, Leake, Smith, and Rogerson families of North Carolina; and many original family photographs from the late 1800s and early 1900s.
