September 9, 2008, (unprocessed) 167 items, 1.0 cubic feet; Papers (1886–2003, undated) of the Winslow family of Winfall, North Carolina and the Towe family of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., including correspondence, photographic prints, scrapbook and genealogical research materials, and printed materials. Also includes correspondence of Sallie J. Winslow while a student at East Carolina Teachers Training School, Greenville, N.C., with her future husband, Robert Leslie Towe, an assistant cashier of the First National Bank of Roanoke Rapids, ca. 1915–1918. See preliminary inventory attached. Note: Papers were found in the home of Mrs. George (Sara Crawford) Wood; they were inherited by the donor, who is Mrs. Wood's daughter, following her death in 2007; and they were received through the courtesy of the donor's cousin, Dr. Dan Winslow and Mrs. Winslow, in Townsville, N.C.
