It is broken up into four sections titled My Heritage, My Memories, My Hopes, and My Heart (philosophy of life). She documents her father Alvin Outlaw's family history in Duplin County, North Carolina, and her mother Doris Eloise Croom Outlaw's Croom family history in Lenoir County, North Carolina. Included are many photographs of her grandparents, parents, siblings, friends, pets and herself as she relates very frankly all the important things that have happened in her life within her family setting and in her school setting.
