Biographical/historical information

Martha Sue Mewborn was born March 17, 1944, to Ronald Earl (Sam) Mewborn, Jr., and Martha Hardison Mewborn of Kinston, North Carolina. She graduated from Atlantic Christian College and worked as an aide to a Georgia Congressman in Washington, DC. There she married Ramon Arando Marble and they had a daughter Margaret Virginia (Ginny) Marble. When her husband retired, they moved to New Bern circa 2005. Martha Marble was a well-known genealogist in eastern North Carolina and helped many other people with their family history research. She died April 23, 2019, in Newport, NC, and was buried in Kinston, NC, at Westview Cemetery.

McCoy who were married on October 28, 1877, and resided in Lenoir Co., N.C. Included in the records are birth, death, and marriage dates for John's parents, William F. and Julia Ann McCoy (who died in 1856) and second wife Zilpha, his siblings and his children. This addition also includes two pages of Abbott family vital statistics related to Thomas Andrew Abbott and his wife Julia Ethalia McCoy Abbott and their children.
