Martha Sue Mewborn was born March 17, 1944, to Ronald Earl (Sam) Mewborn, Jr., and Martha Hardison Mewborn of Kinston, North Carolina. She graduated from Atlantic Christian College and worked as an aide to a Georgia Congressman in Washington, DC. There she married Ramon Arando Marble and they had a daughter Margaret Virginia (Ginny) Marble. When her husband retired, they moved to New Bern circa 2005. Martha Marble was a well-known genealogist in eastern North Carolina and helped many other people with their family history research. She died April 23, 2019, in Newport, NC, and was buried in Kinston, NC, at Westview Cemetery.
