Biographical/historical information
John E. Cooperider was born on March 22, 1930, to Mabel "Kathy" (nee Evans) and Walter "Mike" Viall Cooperider, in Hebron, Ohio. He joined the Navy in 1947 and served for 19 years, becoming Chief Yeoman at the time of his retirement.
