Biographical/historical information
Robert R. Logan was born in Indiana on January 26, 1913. He served in the Navy for 21 years and was active in both WWII and the Korean War. Logan passed away on December 14, 1968.
Scope and arrangement
This collection includes photocopied newspaper clippings on various Navy events including, Fleet Visit to Golden Gate Bridge, Task Force Arrives for a Three-Day Visit, Seamen Killed in Gun Turret Explosion, and Korean war updates. This collection also includes an original program from the Nikko Kanko Hotel and National Park detailing the services offered to the service members, a letter from Joe Carmona to E.G. Pinno about the gun turret explosion in 1952, and a newsletter from The Fighting Saint from May 1, 1952.
