Robert R. Perry was born in Scottsdale, PA on October 16, 1923. He served 3 years in the US Navy during WWII. He married Dolores (Dee) Perry in 1948 and graduated from Duquesne University in 1951. After graduating, he began his career as a Special Agent of the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation). After serving in several offices throughout the South, he was stationed in Atlanta in 1958. He retired in 1978 after 27 years of loyal and dedicated service. He was a member of several organizations including the VFW, the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI, a Freemason of the Scottish Rite, and a member of the Yaraab Shrine.
Items in this collection include a pamphlet on the N3N-3 biplane, UNC-Chapel Hill Navy flight school yearbooks (1942-1943), church bulletins (1946) from Oahu, Christmas Day menu and staff flyers from Kaneohe (1944-1945), and an article on the demise of the Japanese battleships MUSHASI and YAMATO (1945).
