Papers (1785-1842) consisting of land records, cipher book, receipts, regulation of church.
Scope and arrangement
The collection consists primarily of land transactions (1785-1842) between the Sawyer and Lamb families in the Lamb's Mill Pond area of Camden County, N.C. A will for Isaac Lamb (1834) is also included in the papers. A covenant for the Geneva Church gives insight into the regulation of church discipline and the rules of decorum during conferences. Receipts for taxes paid and cipher book (1845) are also contained in the collection.
