In 1891, Asa Bullock lost his son from meningitis and the year previous lost his wife and two children from the same disease. In 1891, J. C. Cherry, of Richmond, VA, son of M. C. S. Cherry, was home visiting. In Feb. 1891, Dr. J. D. Bullock married Miss Florence Carson. In Feb. 1891, the little child of A. J. Simons, of Bethel twsp., was accidently killed. In Feb. 1891, John E. Carson married Miss Lydia J. Carson. In Feb. 1891, Mrs. Jane Worsley died at Conetoe, mother of J. R. Bunting of Bethel, NC. In Feb. 1895, W. A. James, Sr., of Bethel twsp., died at his home.
