Alexander Wheatley, b. Dec. 23, 1757 in Martin Co., NC, d. Oct. 31, 1834 in Weakley Co., TN; m. in July 1781 to Peggy Stokes, b. ca. 1766. Alexander Wheatley had brothers Samuel Wheatley and William Wheatley. Mention Katherine Cherry, formerly of Martin Co., NC and now of Benton Co., TN in 1846. She had oldest son, Lamb Cherry, had daughter, Milia Cherry, and youngest son, Henry Cherry (b. Nov. 26, 1799). Peggy Wheatley, age 80, was living in Benton Co., NC in 1846.
