Abstract:
Hadley-Peoples became Siler City's first industry in August 1895. The company is a supplier of custom-made yarns. Very little of the company's product ends up in wearing apparel. Their principal market is in the manufacture of industrial goods. Hadley-Peoples yarns are used in hydraulic hoses, hoses on gasoline pumps, conveyor belts for coal mining and many others.
