L.A. Reynolds founded his company in the early 1900s with a horse and wagon and fruit trees he sold to Piedmont farmers. After World War II, his four sons expanded the company into construction and landscaping activities. The company, headquartered in Winston-Salem, is one of the ten largest asphalt paving companies in the state, and its commercial landscaping division is one of the most progressive in the country.
