Commercial Printing Company, Inc., located in Raleigh, prints everything from business cards to books. The company was founded in 1894, and incorporated in 1907, making it one of North Carolina's earliest corporations. G. Akers Moore, Sr. purchased the company in 1922, and it is now in the third-generation of ownership.

Edwards & Broughton Company has been a leader in Eastern North Carolina printing markets and a force in regional printing markets for one hundred and eight years. Cornelius Bryant Edwards and Needham Bryant Broughton founded the company in 1871.

Abstract:
In 1871, Cornelius Bryant Edwards and Needham Bryant Broughton established a printing company that is now one of the ten oldest printing firms in Raleigh. They started operations with acquired printing equipment and $100 for ink and paper. Today Edwards & Broughton, which employs about one hundred people and occupies a 50,000-square-foot building, is known for its high-quality color work and overall printing capabilities.

Starting out in 1871, the well-known Raleigh printing firm of Edwards & Broughton has been in business ever since and is now recognized as one of the greatest printing firms in the South. Over thirteen years ago the firm took over the contract for printing The State magazine.
